2 Corinthians 9:6-7 “…Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” This verse teaches us that it is not only what we give, but the acceptable attitude with which we should give: willingly, generously, and cheerfully.

Online Giving

Welcome to the online giving service for Cane Ridge Baptist Church. It is our goal to make it as easy as possible for you to give tithes and special offerings to the Lord.

The church uses Paypal, an online payment service used by many businesses and churches. To give an offering, simply click on the button below and you will be directed to the Paypal service to complete the transaction.

If you are new to Paypal, you can go to their website to get detailed information or sign-up for an account, or read the FAQ section below to get some basic information about the process.

Why should I tithe?

Tithing is our biblical expression of covenant with God over our finances.

What are the advantages to giving online?

1. With the convenience of the internet, you can now make contributions or payments anytime and from anywhere with access to a computer.
2. By adding privacy to the process of giving, your tithes and offerings can be between you and the Lord.
3. With online accountability, you can track your payment history and manage your account with an email address and password.

What is Paypal?

Paypal is an online service for sending and receiving funds. With it, you can send money to anyone with an email address, instantly. Now you can send money from home, work, even your mobile phone. To find out more about Paypal, visit their website here.

Is using Paypal safe?

Yes. PayPal uses SSL technology to keep your information safe. In addition, when you send a payment using PayPal, the church will not receive sensitive financial information like your credit card or bank account number. This way, you don't have to worry about your information getting into the wrong hands.

How do I open a PayPal account?

Click on the link here, or visit Paypal.com and click the Sign-up link at the top of any Paypal page. Select a personal account, fill out the form and follow the directions.

Is PayPal free?

Yes. You can sign up for a PayPal account for free, and there's no charge to transfer funds from your bank account to your PayPal account. If you use a credit or debit card, a small percentage fee is deducted from your payment on the receiving end, and does not cost you anything.

Why does Paypal say "Donation"?

That is simply how Paypal shows a payment made to a non-profit organization. Don't worry, the church will still see the type of offering and the special instructions and put the payment in the right place.

Can I still make a payment by check or cash if I want?

You will always have the option of paying by check or cash, and we will continue to take offerings as a part of our worship times. Online payment is simply offered as an alternative to those who prefer to manage their finances electronically.
